Selected Text in Bb Annotate is not Highlighted From the Second Page

In Bb Annotate, when a user selects text from the second page in PDF and Word documents to highlight, it does not get highlighted. Instead random characters are being highlighted.

In Bb Annotate, when a user selects a text from the second page in PDF and Word documents to highlight, it does not get highlighted. Instead random characters are being highlighted.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator

  2. Create a course

  3. Access the course, create an assessment and make it available to students.

  4. Enroll a student in the course

  5. Log in as the student

  6. Submit a 2 page document

  7. Log in back as an administrator

  8. Navigate to Admin panel > Courses > Course ID > Course Tools > Grade Center > Needs grading > Open the student's attempt

  9. Select first line in the second page

​Observed Behavior:
Random characters are selected.
​Expected Behavior:
The first line is highlighted.

This is not replicable if the text format is aligned to the center, either with content selected on the first page.
