Description
Users experience aSAML login loop specifically when attempting to log in from bookmarks.
Symptoms
Console is full of errors like:
GET https://sampleurl/learn/api/v1/users/me?expand=systemRoles,insRoles 401 (Unauthorized)
GET https://sampleurl/learn/api/public/v1/lti/placements?type=UltraUI 401 (Unauthorized)
GET https://sampleurl/learn/api/v1/utilities/timeUntilBbSessionInactive?forceLogout=false 401 (Unauthorized)
And permanently loops on:
GET https://sampleurl/learn/api/v1/ultra-ui/ultrasettings 401 (Unauthorized)
Steps to Replicate
Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an Administrator
Bookmark one or more of the top-level pages:
https://sampleurl/ultra
https://sampleurl/ultra/institution-page/admin/default
https://sampleurl/ultra/stream
https://sampleurl/ultra/course
https://sampleurl/ultra/grades
https://sampleurl/ultra/toolsDO NOT LOGOUT, just close the browser
Open the browser again after the session has timed out, 4 hours by default
Observed Behavior:
The left menu appears, but the username displays as ‘undefined undefined,’ and the main content area on the right is completely blank.
Expected Behavior:
Redirected to Login
