Ultra Gradebook Status Column Does Not Indicate When LTI Content Has Been Accessed by a Student

The Ultra gradebook status column does not indicate when LTI content has been accessed by a student.

Description

The Ultra gradebook status column does not indicate when LTI content has been accessed by a student. Instead it always says 'Unopened'. It does this even if the student has launched the content multiple times.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator

  2. Create an Ultra Course, and enroll as an instructor

  3. Set up an LTI tool with a gradable course content managed placement. This exists on support-lti-email.blackboard.com as the AnthologyLTITool with the managed placement named AnthologyLTICourseContent

  4. In the course, use the Content Market to add the AnthologyLTICourseContent item

  5. Use the (+) symbol on the item in the market to do so. Make it visible to students.

  6. Edit the item and click on 'Create gradebook entry for this item'

  7. Set the due date to a year from now > Save

  8. Access the course as a student or switch to the Student Preview Mode

  9. Click to launch the LTI content

  10. As the student, look at the Gradebook

Observed Behavior:

The grade status for the LTI items says 'Unopened'.

Expected Behavior:

The grade status for the LTI item should say 'Opened'.
