Description
A data corruption issue was identified where duplicate goal alignment records existed in the database. These duplicate records caused goal import or update operations to fail due to a database uniqueness constraint violation.
Steps to Replicate
Log in to Blackboard Learn as an Administrator
Navigate to System Admin > Goals
Import an XML package containing goal sets and goal alignments
Allow the import process to complete
Attempt to re-import the same package or perform an operation that updates the imported goal alignments
Review the import logs and system error logs
Verify whether duplicate records exist in the goal alignment data
Observed Behavior:
The operation fails because duplicate goal alignment records exist in the database.
Expected Behavior:
The operation completes successfully without duplicate goal alignment records being created.
