Description

In the Original View Mode, if the text in a rubric goal's description includes an apostrophe (') or a quotation mark ("), using the 'Add Alignments' option does not open the expected alignments window.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn with Original Experience as an administrator

  2. Navigate to System Admin > Courses > Create and access it

  3. Go to Course Tools > Rubrics > Create Rubric

  4. Open the rubric to Edit > In one of the Goal descriptions, select Edit and change the text (do not include either an apostrophe or citation characters) > Submit

  5. Edit the rubric again > Go to the edited goal in step 4 > Click on the chevron and select Add Alignments

Observed Behavior: The Alignments window opens as intended.

  1. Repeat step 4 and now add either an apostrophe (') or citation mark (") into the goal’s description > Submit

  2. Repeat step 5

Observed Behavior:
No new pop-up window related to the alignments is opened. However, the browser tab is not frozen, and the user can still Cancel or Submit changes.
Expected Behavior:
The alignments window opens as it did previously.
