Description
The Monitor Button in retention center is not working. If you click the Monitor button in the red dot alerts, this will not work.
Steps to Replicate
Log into Blackboard Learn as an Administrator
Go to system admin→tools and utilities→tools→Look for retention center, and make sure is enabled
Create an Original course and enroll a test student
Create a new test and set the due date to the exact minute you create it
Create an assignment and set the due date to the exact minute you create it
Go to Evaluation→retention center
In the DEADLINES column, a red dot should appear for the user you have enrolled. Click on it
A gray/black square will appear. In it's the bottom right corner, next to the “Notify” button. Click the “Monitor” button
Observed Behavior:
The screen scrolls up, and nothing happens. In "Students you are monitoring" it shows:
You are not monitoring anyone yet. Monitor your students to gain insights into their academic progress.
Expected Behavior:
The star should change to yellow, indicating it is monitoring. The "Students you are monitoring" section should display the new student.
Resolution / Workaround
If you are in the retention center and click the student name in the list it will bring you to a separate page for that student. Under the student username on this page is a "Monitor" button and this one works and can be used as the work around for the "pop up box monitor button" not working
