The Sumadi Password Protection Building Block will no longer be supported by Sumadi as of August 6, 2026. Sumadi plans to deliver a new integration before this end-of-support date

Blackboard ended support for Building Blocks (B2s) in 2022 as part of its long-term move away from custom integrations. Since then, the Sumadi Password Protection B2 has remained available under an extended support agreement, but that extension is now ending. Beginning August 6, 2026, the Blackboard LMS August 2026 release is expected to introduce changes that will cause the Sumadi Password Protection B2 to stop functioning. At that point, the B2 will no longer be supported by Sumadi.

Sumadi has announced they plan to have a new integration available before this end-of-support date. Administrators should work with Sumadi to migrate to the new integration once available. Samadi has indicated this update will be required for both Original and Ultra Course Views.
