Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator

Create a new Original course and enroll yourself

Enroll another user as an Available Student

In the Discussion Menu create a Forum with a valid name and select the option 'Participants must create a thread in order to view other threads in this forum'

Click on Create Thread, enter a valid subject, and add some files using the Attach File option. Click submit to save the thread.

Log in as the student, create another thread and attach files like in the previous step

As an administrator go to Packages and Utilities > Export /Archive course and select Export package

Choose the options Copy links and include copies of the files in the course default directory and Copy only links to files stored outside the course default directory.

Under Select Course Materials make sure that Select All is checked and under discussion boards 'Include only the forums with no starter posts' is also selected.

Once the course package is completed, download and unzip it, there will be folders named res***** where the * stands for a number, for example res00208
