In Ultra Custom Language Pack Prevents Gradebook Total Configuration

Error occurs when viewing or setting up Weighted Overall Marks for an Ultra course while using custom Language Packs.

Description

When a custom language pack is set for the system default and the user attempts to view the Total or set up the Overall Grade in a course choosing "Weighted" as the type, an error occurs and s/he cannot configure the Weighted Total for the Gradebook.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as a System Administrator

  2. Access Admin > Language Packs > Download a standard language pack such as en_GB

  3. Select Import

    • Import the language pack as en_GB_custom / en_GB_custom4

  4. Select the en_GB_custom language pack > Manage

    • Available: Yes

    • Course: Yes

    • Org: Yes

    • User Language: Yes

    • Click "Create custom Ultra locale" > Submit

  5. Select the en_GB_custom language pack > Manage

    • Set as System Default > Submit

  6. Access a new Ultra course > Gradebook

  7. Click on 'Set up the overall grade!' > Set it up

    • Select 'Weighted' > Next

Observed Behavior:
The error: "Oops! Something broke" appears on the screen and the user is not able to configure the Weighted Total for the course.
​Expected Behavior:
The user is able to set up the Overall Grade to Weighted for the course.
