The 'Enforce Sequential Viewing of the Learning Module?' Option can be Bypassed in Original Courses

The 'Enforce Sequential Viewing of the Learning Module?' option does not work as intended in Original Courses.

Description

When a student copies the link of the last item in a Learning Module with the 'Enforce Sequential option active in an Original Course, s/he can skip the previous items and access the last one.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator

  2. Access an Original Course and enroll an instructor and a student

  3. As an instructor build a Learning module with multiple items, including folders that have 'Enforce Sequential Viewing of the Learning Module?' turned 'On'

  4. As a student, click through all the modules

  5. In the Table of Contents for the module, right-click on the last item, and copy the link

  6. Provide that link to another user who can log in and then paste the link into their browser session

Observed Behavior:
The Student will be directly taken to the last item and will not have to click through all the Learning Modules.

Expected Behavior:
The student should not be able to access the item.
