Description
When MathType is used in multiple-choice questions, the math content renders with a hard-coded white background.
Steps to Replicate
Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
Navigate to System Admin > Courses > Create an Ultra Course
Inside the course, create a Test
Add a Multiple-Choice question with three answer options
For example, enter the following:
Option A: H₂O using Unicode subscript
Option B: H₂O created with the Math editor (MathType)
Option C: H₂O created with LaTeX (
$$H_2O$$)
Enter Student Preview mode or log in as a student and take the test
Expected Behavior:
Math content renders consistently without any unusual background.
Observed Behavior:
MathType content in the answer option displays a white background.
