Description
SAML logout request fails due to missing NameID format in the SAML response. This affects those IdPs that accept SAML logouts.
Steps to Replicate
Prerequisite: Ensure your SAML IdP accepts logout requests.
Log into Blackboard Learn as an Administrator
Navigate to System Admin > Authentication > Create a SAML authentication
Set the authentication > Upload the IdP previously created
Go back to System Admin > Authentication > Chevron option next to the new authentication
Click on Test Connection > Make sure everything passes
Log out and log in as a user using SAML
Log out as the user
Observed Behavior:
The logout fails.
Expected Behavior:
The user logs out successfully.
