Module Content Does not Open When the Release Conditions Depend on an Uploaded File in a Forced Sequence Learning Module

Description

Release conditions do not properly unlock content when they depend on an uploaded file located inside a Learning Module with Forced Sequence enabled.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log in to Blackboard Learn as an administrator

  2. Navigate to System Admin > Courses > Create an Ultra Course

  3. Create a Learning Module and enable Forced Sequence

  4. Inside the module, upload a PDF file using the Upload option

  5. Create a Document below the uploaded file

  6. Upload another PDF file below the Document using the Upload option

  7. Create a second Learning Module outside the first module

  8. Add a simple content item inside the second module

  9. Configure the second Learning Module with a release condition based on opening the last uploaded PDF file from the first module

  10. Make all content visible to students except the second Learning Module

  11. Access the course as a student and navigate through the content in sequence

  12. Open the uploaded PDF file required by the release condition

  13. Attempt to access the second Learning Module

  14. Refresh the page or navigate away from the Content area and return

Observed Result:

The second Learning Module remains inaccessible even after the required file has been opened. The release condition only updates after the page is refreshed or the user navigates away and back to the Content area.

Expected Result:

The second Learning Module becomes accessible immediately after the required uploaded file is opened, without requiring a page refresh or navigation change.
