Instructors can access the Ultra Gradebook in Grid View and select a student who has not submitted. The instructor can then create a submission date and return to the group to grade the student.

However, instead of redirecting the instructor to the group to which the selected student belongs, Gradebook redirects them to a different group and creates an additional submission for the incorrect group.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log in to Blackboard Learn as an Administrator

  2. Access Admin Panel > Courses

  3. Create a group assignment in an Ultra course and assign students to different groups

  4. Open the Gradebook in Grid View and select a student who belongs to a group other than the first group

  5. Create an offline submission attempt for that student

  6. Save the attempt and review the group that is displayed

Observed Behavior:
The system redirects to an incorrect group and creates the submission attempt under that group rather than the group to which the student belongs.

Expected Behavior:
The system should display the student's correct group and create the submission attempt for that group.
