On January 9, 2025, Macmillan and Anthology released a new content migration tool. This tool was built by Blackboard in coordination with Macmillan. The Partner Cloud to LTI 1.3 Advantage Migration Tool for Macmillan will enable current Macmillan Partner Cloud integrated customers to migrate courses to use LTI 1.3 Advantage integration.
If your institution currently uses a Partner Cloud integration with Macmillan’s Achieve platform, to ensure seamless functionality, you’ll need to transition to the Macmillan direct LTI 1.3 integration before June 30, 2025.
Benefits of Using the Migration Tool:
Streamlines content migration, ensuring instructors can access their course content seamlessly.
Saves instructors time and effort by avoiding manual deletions and redeployments of courses.
Recommended actions:
Now: Please enter your information in this form. The Macmillan integration with Blackboard has been in place for a long time and Macmillan wants to ensure their records are up to date.
Early 2025: Begin onboarding with LTI 1.3. See Macmillan’s Admin Guide for full instructions.
Spring/Summer 2025: Use the Macmillan Migration Tool to transition instructors, then disable your Partner Cloud integration. Learn more about the Migration Tool here.
We’ll follow up with more LTI 1.3 onboarding and migration details as the year progresses. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact Macmillan at [email protected].
Thank you for your prompt attention to this transition!
Important: Only courses in available status are migrated by the tool, this restriction is included to help avoid any potential performance issues during migration.
