Fill in the blank type questions are not being graded properly; Partial credit is not being granted when students provide incorrect answers.
Symptoms
Steps to Replicate
Log in to Blackboard Learn as Administrator
Access a course
Go to Course Content > Click on the "Plus" icon and select Create > Test
Add a Fill in the blank question containing multiple "Fill in the blank" fields.
Click on "Next step"
Do not enable "Case sensitive".
Click on Save
Enable Student Preview
Complete the test (Please note that a wrong answer has been provided in the third field)
Disable Student Preview
Go to Gradebook (Top right corner tab) and view the attempt submitted by the "Preview user"
Note that there are 2 correct answers and 1 incorrect answer; the attempt was graded with a zero (0) rather than a partial grade.
Observed Result: Students are not receiving partial credit.
Expected Result: Students should be graded with partial credit.
