Description

In Ultra, when importing content or copying content that was originally created in the Original course view into a new course, images in Test Pools are not retaining the correct attributes. All images are changing from "The file displays inline if the browser allows. If not allowed, the file displays as an attachment." to
"The file displays as an attachment for download."

Steps to Replicate

Import Content:

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn (Ultra environment) as System Administrator

  2. Navigate to System Admin > Courses > Search the course to be copied

  3. Click the chosen course’s chevron options > Select Export/Archive > Export Package

  4. Select Copy links and include copies of the files for both Course Files Default Directory and Files Outside the Course Default Directory

  5. Choose Select All for Select Course Materials

  6. Submit

  7. Download the export file

  8. In a new blank course, click the Course Content ellipsis icon > Select Import Content

  9. Select Import Course Content

  10. Choose the downloaded .zip file

  11. Once the file has completed uploading, check the images in question pools

Copy Content:

  1. In the new blank course, click the Course Content ellipsis icon > Select Copy Content

  2. Search the course to be copied that has question pools with images

  3. Tick the checkbox on the left to choose the course

  4. Select Copy Selected Content

  5. Once the copying content has completed, check the images in question pools

Observed Behavior:
The image file has "The file displays as an attachment for download" instead of "The file displays if the browser allows. If not allowed the file displays as an attachment" attribute.

Expected Behavior:
The image file retains the "The file displays if the browser allows. If not allowed the file displays as an attachment" attribute.

Resolution / Workaround

The Instructor can manually change each image attribute back to display inline.
