Description
When a student tries to access a PDF file using a HREF Link from an iOS device, the file just shows a screenshot and it won't load any other pages.
Steps to Replicate
Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator
Create an Original course
Upload a PDF file into the content system
Obtain the Permanent URL via the 360 view
Create an item
In the WYSIWYG click on the <> icon and enter the URL.
Example:
<p><a href="Replace with Permanent URL">Click Here</a></p>
As a student log into the site by using iOS mobile with Safari (not Blackboard App)
Click on the link 'Click Here'
Observed Behavior:
The first page of the PDF file is shown as a screenshot and it won't load any of the pages.
Expected Behavior:
The PDF can be downloaded and all of its pages are visible.
Resolution / Workaround
Press and hold the 'Click Here' link and select Open in the new tab.
