When Extra Credit is enabled for a test question in Blackboard Learn Ultra, a warning appears stating: “Maximum points must be greater than minimum points.” This affects the badge requirement settings, even though the badge still functions correctly.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Login into Blackboard Learn Ultra as an Administrator

  2. Access an Ultra course

  3. Create a test including 3 questions, each worth one point

  4. Select Achievements and click [+ New Course Badge]

  5. Set the following conditions to publish the badge

    1. Gradable item: The test created

    2. Requirement: 3 points or higher

  6. Open the test and enable Extra Credit one of questions.

  7. Access Achievements and checked the badge

Observed Behavior:

It shows warning “Maximum points must be greater than minimum points.”

Expected Behavior:

Badge requirements should remain unchanged or automatically update the maximum points to reflect the Extra Credit.
