Submission points are higher than the maximum allowed by the rubric

Submission points are higher than the maximum allowed by the rubric

Description

A specific Ultra assignment that uses a rubric for grading, is giving the students higher points than what the maximum should be as per the rubric.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator

  2. Create a course and enroll a student

  3. Create an assignment

  4. Create a points or percentage range rubric

  5. In the assignment setting set points possible as 100

  6. Login as the student and submit the assessment

  7. Go back to the admin/instructor session and grade the student attempt using the rubric

  8. Go to assessment settings and change the points possible to 50

Expected Behavior:

The rubric should recalculate grades per criteria and recalculate the overall grade for the assessment

Observed Behavior:

The rubric recalculates the grades per criteria but does not recalculate the overall grade for the assessment.

Resolution / Workaround

If you go back into the user attempt, and toggle any of the rubric criteria on and off, the total recalculates to the correct score.
