This issue has been resolved in the new Blackboard Content Editor and will not be fixed in the current editor.
Key updates:
Blackboard is rebuilding the Content Editor from the ground up, and this issue has been fixed in the new editor.
Development efforts are focused on the new editor; therefore, content-authoring fixes and enhancements will not be backported to the current editor.
Institutions can evaluate the new editor through the Early Access Program:
Rich Content Editor: Early AccessBeginning with the August release, institutions can enable a beta experience for Blackboard Documents, allowing instructors to create content using either the current or new editor.
From September through December, monthly updates will continue to improve feature parity, introduce new capabilities, and refine the user experience based on feedback.
The new editor is currently planned for broader availability across Blackboard, including Announcements, Assignments, Tests, Journals, Discussions, and other content-authoring areas with the December release.
