Description
When an Ultra course is copied with Grade Center Columns and Settings unchecked, deployed Tests are incorrectly changed to an undeployed state in the copied course. Knowledge Check questions are also affected because they are treated as Tests during the copy process, resulting in a partial loss of the association between the Knowledge Check question and its underlying Test.
Steps to Replicate
Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
Create a new Ultra course
Add an Ultra Document to the course
Within the document, select Create Content and add a Knowledge Check
Add a question to the Knowledge Check
Add answer options and designate the correct answer
Save the Knowledge Check
Navigate to Admin > Courses
Search for the course containing the Knowledge Check
Open the course context menu and select Copy
Select Copy Course Materials into a New Course
Enter the destination course ID and submit
Under Select Course Materials, select all available options
Deselect only Grade Center Columns and Settings
Under File Attachments, select Copy links and copies of the content
Click on Submit
Open the newly created copied course
Enter Student Preview
Navigate to the Ultra Document containing the Knowledge Check
Open the Knowledge Check and review its availability and association with the copied Test
Observed Behavior:
Tests that were deployed in the original course become pseudo-undeployed in the copied course.
Knowledge Check questions are also treated as Tests during the copy process and become pseudo-undeployed.
The association between the Knowledge Check question and the underlying Test is partially lost.
Expected Behavior:
Deployed Tests should retain their deployed state after the course copy, and Knowledge Check questions should remain correctly associated within the document and retain their expected availability in the copied course.
