Overall Grade Override Uses Percentage Instead of Points in Gradebook Grid View

When overriding an overall grade in the Gradebook Grid View, the entered value is treated as a percentage instead of points when the overall grade display is set to Points.

Description

When overriding an overall grade from the Gradebook Grid View, it incorrectly treats the entered value as a percentage, when the overall grade display is configured to Points. This causes the overridden grade to be converted to a point value based on the calculated percentage rather than using the value entered.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator

  2. Create an Ultra Course

  3. Create two Assignments with Points

  4. Navigate to Gradebook > Grid view

  5. Configure the Overall grade with > Calculation Type: Weighted, Weigh Gradable Items Within a Category: Proportionally, Overall Grade Display: Points, Assignment Category weighted at 100%

  6. Navigate to Gradebook > Grid View

  7. Enter an Override value in the overall grade column for a student

  8. Click outside the Overall Grade column to update the grade

Observed Behavior:
The entered value is treated as a percentage, and the overall grade is recalculated instead of using the entered points.

Expected Behavior:
The entered value should be treated as points, and the overall grade should reflect the entered value.
