As you move from Blackboard Original course view to Ultra course view, you may need to convert existing courses. You have two options for this process:
Bulk Convert: Directly converts existing Original view courses/organizations to Ultra in place—no deleting or recreating needed. Enrollments are preserved, but activity data (submissions, discussions, grades) is not, and instructors can't revert back to Original.
Bulk Copy and Convert (recommended): Copies the course/organization first, then converts the copy to Ultra, so instructors keep both versions to reference while adjusting content. However, the copy isn't synced with the SIS and enrollments are purged.
