Description

When using SIS to perform a Course Copy with a Template Course, the SIS copy process overrides the Term Availability setting for the Course.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as a System Administrator

  2. Create a Term at System Admin > [Courses] Terms > Create Term

    • Set it to be Available with a Duration range around the current date

  3. Create a Course at System Admin > [Courses] Courses > Create Course > New

    • Set the Course to use Term that was created in Step 2 for Availability and Duration

  4. Create another new Course that doesn't use the Term

  5. Create Course Copy feed file with the following Headers and correct data from previously created Courses

EXTERNAL_COURSE_KEY|TEMPLATE_COURSE_KEY
<Step3ExternalCourseKey>|<Step4ExternalCourseKey>

  1. Upload the feed file to an appropriate SIS Integration

  2. Locate the Course created in step 3
