Constraints on content links affects the content even if users otherwise would have access to it

Inherited Constraints on Content Links in Containers affects the Content even if Users Otherwise would have Access to it

Description

A source content item at the top level of a course is inheriting release conditions from learning modules that contain a course link pointing to that source content item.
If a student does not meet the release conditions for a learning module that contains a course link to that item, then the source item and all course links pointing to that item will be hidden from the student.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log in to Blackboard Learn as an Administrator

  2. Create a test course

  3. Create a document named "DOC-1"

  4. Enter Student Preview and verify that DOC-1 is visible

  5. Create a learning module named "LM1"

  6. Add a release condition to LM1 that is not satisfied

  7. Create a Course Link pointing to DOC-1 and place the link inside LM1

  8. Enter Student Preview and attempt to access DOC-1

Expected Behavior:

The student should be able to access and view DOC-1, since the source content item itself is available to the student.

Observed Behavior:

The student is unable to access or view the DOC-1 source content item through the course link when the link is located inside LM1 with unmet release conditions.
