Description
Users are unable to access Documents within courses through the Blackboard Learn Mobile App when an Alternate Domain is configured. Attempting to open a Document redirects the user to the configured Alternate Domain, resulting in a webpage loading error. On iOS devices, the application instead displays a login prompt followed by a 401 Forbidden error.
The issue is isolated to the Mobile App, as the same course content can be accessed successfully through desktop and mobile web browsers without encountering the Alternate Domain error.
Steps to Replicate
Log in to Blackboard Learn as an administrator
Navigate to System Admin > Courses > Create an Ultra Course
Create a Document > Upload a file
Open the Blackboard Learn Mobile App
Log in to the client's Blackboard Learn instance
Access the course > Navigate to the Content area
Open the Document
Observed Behavior:
The Document does not open. The application redirects to the configured Alternate Domain and displays a webpage loading error with net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_RESPONSE. On iOS devices, a login prompt is displayed followed by a 401 Forbidden error.
Expected Behavior:
Course Documents should open successfully within the Blackboard Learn Mobile App without redirecting to the Alternate Domain or displaying authentication or webpage loading errors.
