When sorting course content, files are sorted in alphabetical order but capital letters have priority over lower case.

When sorting course content, files are sorted in alphabetical order but capital letters have priority over lower case.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log in to Blackboard as an Administrator.

  2. Enter a Course with Content in it.

  3. View the Course Content.

  4. Sort the Name column. Note how the files are not sorted alphabetically.

Expected Behavior:
Files are sorted in alphabetical order, and capital letter do not take priority over lower case letters.
Observed Behavior:

When sorting course content, files are sorted in alphabetical order, but capital letters have priority over lower case.

  • 9.1 SP 8 (9.1.82223.0)

  • 9.1 SP 7 HF 1 (9.1.70081.25)
