Description
An instructor with multiple nodes associated with their user profile initially receives notifications for new student submissions under the Activity Stream section as expected. However, after one of the nodes tied to the instructor account is removed, new assignment submissions stop appearing in the instructor’s Updates menu.
Steps to Replicate
Log in to Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
Navigate to System Admin > Courses > Create an Ultra Course
Navigate to System Admin > User > Create two users: one student and one instructor
Edit the instructor user and assign at least two nodes to the profile (create nodes if needed)
Navigate to the created course > Create a new Assignment > Set Unlimited Attempts
Log in as the student and submit an attempt for the assignment
Log in as the instructor and check the Activity Stream to confirm the submission notification appears
Log back in as the administrator and remove one of the nodes from the instructor’s profile
Log in again as the student and submit another attempt
Log in again as the instructor and check the Activity Stream
Observed Behavior:
New student submissions are no longer reflected in the instructor’s Activity Stream.
Expected Behavior:
New student submissions should continue to appear in the instructor’s Activity Stream regardless of node removal.
