Incorrectly Applied Rounding to Question Score Grade Pills

The new grade pill rounding and decimal display options were incorrectly added to the individual question scores in tests and forms.

Description

The newly introduced grade pill rounding and decimal display configuration options were incorrectly applied to individual question scores within tests and forms. These settings are intended to control how overall grades are displayed, but they are currently affecting per-question score values as well. As a result, individual question scores may be rounded or displayed with decimals in an unintended way, leading to inconsistent or misleading score presentation for instructors and students.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator

  2. Navigate to the Admin Panel -> Course Settings -> Grade Pill Settings

  3. Under decimal handling, select the settings as No decimal and check the box for "Round to nearest decimal"

  4. Create a new ultra course

  5. Create a test with 2 questions, one with 0.5 marks and another with 1 mark

  6. Attempt the test as a student preview and provide the correct answers

  7. Now the total marks are 1.5; however, the system shows it as 2 because of the rounding settings

Expected Behavior: Rounding should happen at the overall calculation level, and not at the individual question level
Observed Behavior: Rounding is occurring at the question level
