Description
The Gradebook Grid View username feature depends on the global Username display setting under Customize User Information. Enabling the instructor privilege "Show username even when hidden from other users" does not override the global setting when Username display is disabled.
Steps to Replicate
Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator
Navigate to System Admin > Users > Customize User Information
Set Username > Display to Disabled
Navigate to System Admin > Users > Course/Organization Roles > Instructor > Privileges
Enable Show username even when hidden from other users
Navigate to System Admin > Courses > Create an Ultra Course
Access the course and navigate to Content
Create an Assignment
Navigate to Gradebook > Settings > Student Options
Check whether the Username option is available
Observed Behavior:
The Username option is not available under Student Options, preventing instructors from displaying the Username column in the Gradebook Grid View.
Expected Behavior:
Enabling the instructor privilege Show username even when hidden from other users should allow instructors to enable the Username column in the Gradebook Grid View, even when the global Username display setting is disabled.
