When an instructor changes the correct answer for a Multiple Choice Question in a test that already has student attempts does not update the Auto points column in the Download Results file.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an instructor

  2. Create a test with Multiple Choice Questions. All questions are worth 1 point.

  3. Take the test as a student

  4. Answer all questions incorrectly

  5. Submit results

  6. As the instructor View student attempt for the test and re-grade the pool question from 0 to 1 point > Submit

  7. Download the column results by question and user & All attempts. An Automatic score of 0 and a Manual Score 1 are displayed.

  8. Go to the pool and edit the question the student answered, change the correct answer to the answer the student gave

  9. Submit and update attempts

  10. Download column results by question and user & All attempts. An automatic score of 0 and a Manual Score of 1 are displayed.

  11. Access the student's attempt, either submit and exit the attempt or re-grade another question and submit

  12. Download column results by question and user & All attempts

Observed Behavior:
An Automatic score of 1 and a Manual Score of 1 are displayed for the pool question.
​Expected Behavior:
An Automatic score of 0 and a Manual Score of 1 for the pool question should be displayed.
