Advisory Information
We're thrilled to announce a significant improvement to the BioSig-ID™ proctoring options within Blackboard, providing an extended range of choice for faculty. Proctored assessment’s panel is expanded to offer six different proctoring options to select from.
If a feature is not working, then it may not be enabled for your account; contact Biometric Signature ID support to activate the new proctoring options.
On existing installations, synchronization will add the new options. Administrators can use their Blackboard admin panel to locate the “BioSig-ID LTI 1.3 Advantage” entry within the “LTI Tool Provider” section.
Use the chevron option to select “Edit” and copy the “Client ID” into clipboard. Then return to the previous overview and select the “Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool” option near the top.
Paste the “Client ID” from clipboard and use the “Submit” button to continue.
Verify all the settings, make sure “Tool Status” is still set to ‘Approved’, and at the bottom use the “Submit” button to finalize the process.

|
Student is asked to authenticate their identity by drawing their unique BioSig-ID™ password.

BioSight
|
BioSig is extended with privacy aware proctoring with blurred and muted recordings. This ensures students authenticate themselves before their test, remain seated and are not joined by others.

BioSightPlus
|
Full clear-video and audio recording, as well as screen recording with wizard steps to ask for room-scan, ensure ears do not contain earbuds, additional material checks, and more.

SEB
|
Provides secure environment by requiring the Safe Exam Browser (ETH Zürich) for each respective option as detailed above. Students are guided automatically through installation and usage for their respective operating system.

Verify settings:
Once the proctoring option has been selected and activated via the slider option, the “Save” button returns you to the settings panel confirming the proctoring selection.
These changes need to be acknowledged via the “Save” button, and confirmation will be visible in the panel on the right side.
Returning to the course overview will show proctoring is active via a shield icon for the respective course item:
