The Change Password page displays password requirements indicating that passwords between 12 and 64 characters are supported. However, the password validation rejects passwords longer than 32 characters.

Log into Blackboard Learn as a System Administrator

Navigate to Admin &gt; Users

Open the context menu next to the user and select Change Password

Enter a new password that is more than 32 characters long

Re-enter the password in the Verify New Password field

1. Log into Blackboard Learn as a System Administrator
2. Navigate to Admin &gt; Users
3. Search for and locate a user account
4. Open the context menu next to the user and select Change Password
5. Enter a new password that is more than 32 characters long
6. Re-enter the password in the Verify New Password field
7. Click Submit.

A validation message is displayed indicating that the new password does not meet the requirements, and the password change is not saved.

The password should be accepted and updated successfully, provided it meets the documented password requirements of 12–64 characters.
